Memento mori. We get consumed by life, all the scars and adventures in our life, define us, leaving a permanent imprint.
The Ego slowly dissolves through time, leaving nothing more than a shadow behind us, in the memory of the people who knew us. I wanted to aesthetically represent, how the more we grow, the more we get closer to our expiration date and eventually we vanish.

For this work i started from a n oxidized and polished sheet of copper over which i printed a cut out of a photograph. I then burned the image in order to create shadows and darkening effects.
