This work holds onto a fleeting moment something that passed quickly, yet remained imprinted in my memory. The image exists in a suspended state, caught between presence and erosion, much like a memory that survives time but no longer retains its original clarity.
The surface behaves like a wall that has absorbed years of exposure. Layers of plaster, gesso, paint, and acid interact in a way that mirrors how memory itself deteriorates.
Parts of the image remain visible, while others are scraped away.
We are left with a shadow, a trace that clings to reality even as it slowly dissolves into it.
