Our flesh has turned into soil, our bones into
dust and our spirit has dissipated.
We were heirs of a world we did not own ,
and we were ancestors of the world to come.
This work speaks in past tense,
and in the past, it shall forever be.
We inherit a world shaped by those before us, while simultaneously becoming the ancestors
of a future we will never see.
I wanted to approach this artwork from a classical point of view, recreating with the tecniques artists have used for the longest of time, but that lately we seem to leave behind.
An inheritance of the artists of the past,
where personality and subjectivity dissolve
over time while only the work that they
have left behind, lingers.
